BAU Ranchi PG admission 2023:- Birsa agriculture university Ranchi invited offline applications from eligible candidates for admission in postgraduate courses. Interested candidates, who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria, can fill the application form before 2023. BAU is a deemed university and situated at Ranchi in Jharkhand. University regulates the various programmes in the agriculture field. University will take admission for PG and Doctoral programmes through entrance exam. Birsa Agriculture University asked the applications in a prescribed format from the candidates desirous for admission to post graduate programme in Agriculture, Veterinary Science and Animal husbandry, forestry and biotechnology for the academic session.
Doctoral programmes:-

Eligibility Criteria for Doctoral Programmes
Candidates should have a bachelor degree in agriculture/ veterinary science & animal husbandry/ forestry.
Applicants must have a minimum overall grade point average (OGPA) 6.0/10.0 or 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent percentage of marks in master degree level.
Candidates will select by merit list in the entrance exam.
Aspirants appearing in the final exam can apply.
Masters Programmes:-
A. Agriculture – agriculture extension & communication, agrometeorology and environmental sciences, agronomy, entomology, Genetics and plant breeding, Horticulture
B. Veterinary science and animal husbandry – Livestock production and management, veterinary anatomy, veterinary medicines, veterinary pathology
C. Forestry – forest products & utilization, Natural resources management,
D. Biotechnology – Agriculture, forestry, veterinary science, biotechnology (Hons.)
Eligibility Criteria for Master Programmes
Applicants should have a 4 years bachelor degree in Agriculture/ horticulture/ agriculture engineering and forestry.
Candidates must have a minimum overall grade point average and subject grade point average both of 6.0/10.0 or 60% aggregate marks in bachelor degree.
OGPA for SC/ST -5.5%/10.0 or 55%
Selection depends upon merit list in entrance exam.
Scheme of Entrance examination BAU Ranchi PG admission 2023
The examination shall have one question paper consisting of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ) each with four options. Candidates will have to choose one correct answer out of four options. The entrance exam paper will cover the undergraduate syllabus for master programmes and PG syllabus for doctoral programmes.
