CTET exam is held for recruiting candidates as teachers in classes 1 to 8. The exam is held twice in a year. The notification has been released for the December session examination and it is expected that CTET Application Form 2023 for the December session will be released in September 2023.  Thus, all those candidates who want to apply for the recruitment should read this article for further information.

About the CTET exam:

There will be two papers in the exam. Paper 1 will be for those candidates who want to become teachers of class 1 to 5 and paper 2 will be for those candidates who want to become teachers of class 6 to 8. Candidates can also appear for both the papers and will be eligible for teaching from class 1 to class 8.

CBSE CTET Form Age limit:

  • The candidates must have attained the age of 17 years in order to be eligible for filling up the seated application form 2023. 
  • There is no upper age limit for being eligible to apply.

Educational qualifications required for Paper 1:

Code 1- Senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the last year of diploma in elementary education

or

Code 2- Passed senior secondary with minimum 45% marks and appearing in or passed the last year of diploma in and elementary education as per the norms of government of 2002.

or

Code 3- Completed senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the last year of bachelors of elementary education.

Or

Code 4- Passed senior secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and appearing or passed diploma in education (special education).

Or

Code 5- Graduation with at least 50% marks and one year of B.Ed.

Educational qualifications required for paper 2:

Code 1- Graduation and appearing or passed last year of diploma in elementary education.

Or

Code 2- Completed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year of B.Ed.

Code 3 – Completed graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and passed or appearing in the one year of B.Ed.

Or

Code 4 – Passed senior secondary with at least 50% marks and undergoing or completed last year of bachelors of elementary education.

Or

Code 5- Passed senior secondary with a minimum 50 per cent marks & appearing in or passed in last year of B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A./B.Sc.Ed. of four years.

Or

Code 6- Graduation with at least 50% marks and appearing in or passed B.Ed. of one year.

Or

Code 7- Qualified B.Ed. recognized by NCTE.

  • The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

Documents required for filling up the registration form:

The following documents will be required for filling up the registration form-

  • Domicile certificate
  • Voter ID
  • Aadhar card
  • PAN Card
  • Marksheet of class 10, class 12 and graduation
  • Driving license
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Signature
  • Passport size photo
  • Marksheet of BTC or D.Ed. or B.Ed. or B.El.Ed. or D.El.Ed. Exam

CBSE CTET 2023 Application Process:

The CTET Application Form 2023 can be filled up by the below mentioned process-

  • At first, the candidates should visit the official website, that is, ctet.nic.in.
  • Then, they should click on the link for applying online.
  • After that, they must fill up properly all the required details.
  • Next, they must upload sign and photo.
  • After doing so, they should make the payment of application fee.
  • Next, they must submit the application form.
  • Finally, they should take a print out of the application form for use in future.

Application fee for CBSE CTET 2023:

  • The candidates who belong to the general or OBC category and want to appear for only one paper that is either paper 1 or paper 2 will be required to pay an application fee of ₹1000, whereas, those candidates of the general or OBC category who want to appear for both the papers will be required to pay ₹1200 as application fee.
  • The candidates belonging to SC or ST category and who want to appear for only one paper that is either paper 1 or paper 2 will be required to pay ₹500 as application fee, whereas, those candidates who belong to SC or ST category and want to appear for both the papers will be required to pay an application fee of ₹600.
  • The fee is not required to be paid via online mode.
